We meet once a month, limiting the group to 15 members as we have found that more members at a meeting causes chaos. We meet at the Fleet Social and Bowling Club where we charge £2 to cover a buffet lunch. Drinks are available at reduced price from the bar as a bonus.
We have two ‘activities’:
- Sitting and discussing whatever we want, plus a type of quiz. Important to have an element of humour.
- Minimal walking at a place of interest or attending a social event on roughly a two-monthly interval arranged by a member of the group. Examples of past events include skittles evenings; lunch at Farnborough College of Technology; a visit to Farnborough airfield; a visit to Farnborough Air Sciences Trust museum; a boat trip; a visit to local breweries (several); a visit to Mercedes World.
