When you've mastered the basics of playing a ukulele (typically after 2 terms with the Beginners), or perhaps if you are a guitar player wishing to take up the uke, you may want to move on to the Improvers group to tackle some more interesting challenges. The emphasis is more on learning different techniques such as alternative chords, strumming patterns plus playing and singing more complex pieces at concert speed. The group is highly enthusiastic and self-motivated. You will need a basic level of competence with the ukulele, but you don't need to read music.
